Garlic Chivda, an all-time favourite in Maharashtrian households, deserves a place in the Diwali Menu. This light and crispy lasun chivda is not only lip smacking delicious but also very easy to make. Made of flattened rice and spices, this lasun chivda is a fun switch from the regular cornflakes chivda. The garlic flavor is what makes this a better pick over other chivdas. This garlic chivda is a perfect blend of sugar and spice that keeps us craving for more.

Preparation Time: 10- 15 Minutes

Cooking Time: 10-15 minutes



Ingredients:

1) 250 grams thin poha


2) 12-15 garlic cloves


3) 1/2 cups peanuts


4) 1/2 cup cashew nuts


5) 2-3 tbsp oil


6) 1 tsp mustard seeds


7) 1 tsp cumin seeds


8) 15 curry leaves


9) 5 chopped green chillies


10) 1/2 cup daliya


11) 1/4 tsp turmeric powder


12) Salt to taste


Method:

Heat a pan, add poha and roast till they turn crisp.


Remove from flame and transfer them to a mixing bowl.


Now heat oil, add ground nut, cashewnuts and remove form oil and keep aside.


For tempering, heat oil, add sliced garlic and fry till golden and crisp.


Add mustard seeds, chopped green chilies, curry leaves, daliya, one at a time and turmeric powder.


Add fried ground nut, cashewnuts and poha to tempering. Add salt, mix well.


Once completely cool, store in an airtight container.



How to make Lasun(Garlic) Chivda step by step:
